Active Ayurvedic herbs: Coconut oil, Rice husk oil, Shea butter, Almond oil, Coconut butter, Olive oil, Castor oil, Lavender, Wheat germ oil, Basil, Bergamot, Basil leaf, Ylang ylang flower oil.

Properties of the active herbs* :

• Cocos nucifiera oil (Coconut oil): Carrier oil, moisturising.
• Oryza sativa bran oil (Rice husk oil): Nourishing and moisturising, antioxidant, rich in vitamin E.
• Butyrospermum parkii butter (Shea butter): Pressed from shea nut, increases lustre and elasticity. Naturally mild sunscreen but said to increase pigmentation.
• Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil (Almond oil): Rich in essential fatty acids and triglyceride, very balanced nutritional content for the skin.
• Garcinia indica butter (Coconut butter): Extracted from the seeds of the kokum fruit. Powerful emollient without being heavy, easily absorbed by the skin without greasy feeling.
• Olea Europaea oil (Olive oil): One of the most common oils in Ayurveda. High in fatty acids, vitamin E, carotenoids, phospholipids and phenols.
• Ricinus communis oil (Castor oil): Stimulates and increases blood circulation, retains moisture in the skin. Rich in vitamin E, Omega 6 and 9.
• Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender): Aromatherapeutic. Also a very versatile medicinal herb used against many different imbalances.
• Triticum Vulgare oil (Wheat germ oil): Rich in vitamin E (tocopherol), minerals, proteins and lipids.
• Ocimum basilicum extract (Basilica): Often used against acne thanks to its anti-inflammatory antimicrobial effect.
• Citrus bergamia (Bergamot): Considered an antidepressant and sedative, and acts as a deodorant.
• Ocimum basilicum leaves (Basil leaves): The whole leaves have the same properties as extracts and are used here as a very soft scrub
• Canaga odorata flower oil (Ylang ylang flower oil): Aromatherapeutic, aphrodisiac, balances sebum production.
• Sodium hydroxide (Lut): Strongly alkaline solution that forms soap with fat. Also called soda ash, sodium hydroxide, caustic soda, NaOH, caustic soda... It goes by many names.
• Vegetable glycerine: Extracted from vegetable oils and highly moisturising and humectant.
• Elaesis guineensis oil (Organic palm oil): Moisturising, adds firmness and lather.
